Strategist
Ryann is a communications strategist, creative consultant, youth mentor, and event producer. By cultivating cultural and creative spaces, Ryann imagines big and creates pathways for expression, beloved community, and love as wealth.
In 2009, Ryann created the bklyn boihood collective, which has garnered more than 50,000 online followers, published 6 print calendars, and released an award winning anthology called Outside the XY: Queer Black and Brown Masculinity. From 2012-2015, Ryann was the Director of Community Programs at the Museum of Contemporary African Diaspora Arts (MoCADA). Some of Ryann's consulting work has included leading a production team for Harry Belafonte's Many Rivers to Cross and serving as a community economic and arts consultant for the Center for Nuleadership. In 2016, Ryann was voted one of Brooklyn Magazine’s top 100 cultural innovators. Ryann has an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship.
