The Work

  • Ethical and Decolonized Communications Framework

We developed a framework for ethical and decolonized communications in order to ensure that our work truly centers storytellers, disrupts harmful narratives, and challenges extractive practices in storytelling. Over the years, we have provided training on this framework to countless groups and communities.

  • Physicians for Reproductive Health

Amplify Resonance has been hired by PRH annually to conduct media, messaging, and storytelling workshops for its yearly physicians’ training cohort. We also provide individual communications coaching to their cohort members to build on the communications workshops to ensure support for tactical implementation.

  • Othering & Belonging Institute at UC Berkley

We conducted research and evaluation for the Institute that culminated in a report sharing the impact of their cross-sectoral and cross-issue efforts over a period of twelve years.

  • Collaborative Media Making

Since our inception, we have worked with numerous leaders in crafting and placing thought pieces in various news outlets. We have also conducted op-ed writing and pitching trainings to many organizations.

  • Movement for Black Lives

Amplify Resonance was the communications backbone for the Movement for Black Lives during the 2020 uprising in defense of Black lives. We provided day-to-day strategic communications support to the network and developed several discrete projects such as the 2020 Black National Convention.

  • Piper Fund

For the past couple of years, Amplify Resonance has provided strategic communications services to the Protect Dissent Network, convened by the Piper Fund. We’ve developed narrative tools, managed periodic messaging research, trained members across the country, and most recently developed guidance for media on covering dissent and protest.

  • Fund for an Inclusive California

In partnership with Constellation Communications, Amplify Resonance is supporting the Fund in reframing affordable housing and equitable development initiatives to be recognized as part of a broader, sustained effort to enact housing justice.

  • American Public Health Association

We provided technical assistance in strategic communications to the environmental justice grantees of the American Public Health Association (APHA). We also captured best-practices, tips, and collective learning in a report published by APHA.
