Naomi Abraham (she/her)
Resonance Co-Founder & Strategist
Naomi is focused on developing smart and creative vehicles that work to bridge the gap between the world we live in and the one we want to live in.
In 2010, she transitioned from working in philanthropy to communications because of her ardent belief in the power of storytelling. Since then she has worked with various human rights and social justice organizations in the U.S. and around the world. Most recently she was the communications director for the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience and before that a senior communications associate with PolicyLink. Naomi has also worked as a freelance journalist publishing articles on human rights and social issues for which she was awarded a reporting fellowship with the Ford Foundation and the International Center For Journalists to report on LGBTQ human rights abuses in Uganda and Kenya.
As a communications consultant, Naomi works with groups to advance a messaging and communications framework that drives results related to racial justice, immigrant rights, economic justice, and more. Specifically, this entails working with clients to find their organizational voice, elevate their stories, and devise implementable tactics for realizing their vision and goals.
She holds graduate degrees in international relations and journalism, respectively from City University of New York and Columbia University.
Current and former clients include: Girls for Gender Equity, Columbia University Center for Justice, Color Congress, National Partnership for Women and Families, Piper Fund, Physicians for Reproductive Health, and Open Society Foundation.
